At Ravencon in April, I was fortunate enough to meet Krista Cragg, a fellow author and the proprietor of a rather unique business called Brew, Book & Candle. It’s basically a subscription service that delivers a box each month containing an indie book, a unique sample of either tea or coffee, and a scented candle. Currently, it’s focused on the SF and Fantasy genres. Subscribers can purchase 3-month ($33), 6-month ($30), or 12-month ($25) subscriptions and they’ll received a curated indie book each month. For those who just want to try the service, they also sell a single-shots ($35), wherein you get one box to see what the service is like.
Well, I was intrigued and charmed at the idea of the service. The up-shot is that I’ll be featured in two of the service’s upcoming subscription boxes:
- Anthology – Featuring: Fantastic Detectives, an anthology of mystery stories in fantasy settings.
- Fantasy Novelette Set – Three shorter works: The Rooftop Game, Bitter Days and Jonelle Crosse.
