Sander Grenfell is a survivor of the Shambles, a dangerous and not well-understood “area of magical disruption” left over from a long-ago wizard battle. Now the authorities want to “clean it up,” but there are still people trapped in the swirling mists of the Shambles who will die if they destroy it.
My grandfather, Robert Hjort, was a writer of sorts. During World War II, he served aboard a destroyer in the Atlantic. He wrote military stories in the form of poems, which he then regaled his shipmates with. “Mr. Snyder” is just one of those long-lost WWII stories. Check it out!
This episode features a recap of the Blend Book Fair, information about the upcoming Bluemont Book Fair, news about a new Deluxe Hardcover, an update on my current Work-In-Progress (WIP), and my reactions to the Superman and Fantastic Four movies…
In this Preview of my short story, “The Whispering Voice” – Anna Brodie has a problem. She’s got to rob a bank, or a gang of criminals will kill her family. Desperately seeking a way out, she finds help…magical help…where she least expects it.

It’s 1846, in an alternate fantasy world where the Elven Dominion has crushed the nations of Europe with its vast airship fleet. The Dominion rules the skies…except for a few intrepid pirates who prey upon their shipping and cause havoc wherever they can.
Welcome to my latest installment of the Indie Writing Life, in which I discuss upcoming events, my current Work-In-Progress (“Banner Yet Waves”), my new “Long War” series, and recent media entertainment (ANDOR rocks!!!).
